Pomaderris kumeraho

Kumeraho

Also known as gum digger's soap or golden Tainui. Endemic to the northern part of the North Island.
Fast growing shrub of 2-4 meters in height, prefers poor clay soils in semi-shade or sunny filtered light areas.
It produces little sprays of creamy-yellow flowers for only a short period from August - November.
Used widely by Māori for medicinal purposes.
