Endemic to the North Island (Te Paki south to about Dargaville).
An attractive, low-growing sprawling groundcover with unusual rusty brown hairs on the stems bearing small wrinkled leathery oval leaves and clusters of yellowish flowers followed by small fruit.
Best grown in full sun dryish soil.
