Astelia banksii

Astelia banksii is an evergreen silver-green plant grown in coastal areas of New Zealand. It has white to pale green flowers in spring, followed by attractive purple-black berries in autumn often spread by birds. Astelia banksii grows best in full sun to partial shade and in fertile well-drained soil. It is ideal for patio containers as it tolerates being dry and quite root bound.
