Pohutukawa plants ready for next WDC Pohutukawa Coast programme.

Over the past few years a variety of other Northland plant species have been available and now includes Hebe diosmifolia, flax, kowhai, puriri, titoki, coastal coprosma, lancewood, cabbage tree, kauri and pohutukawa.

There is a limit of two plants per rate payer to ensure the limited supply is distributed evenly. If you represent a large community group you can leave contact details with co-ordinators and if plants remain at completion of programme more plants can be made available to you.

All of the plants were grown here at Tawapou Coastal Natives and Tutukaka residents are able to call in within nursery open hours and collect their free plants.

Residents in the Whangarei area should contact Botanica 09 430 4200, Southern residents may collect trees from Nola McCullough on 09 432 8332, and people living on the north-east coast can collect from Allan Willis on 09 436 2808

The conservation of pohutukawa and other northland trees has benefited from this local initiative, let's keep the commitment going!
