Hebe divaricata (newly named Veronica subfulvida) is an upright evergreen hardy shrub that can be found naturally inhabiting the northern South Island in rocky places along stream sides. The floriferous shrub can grow up to 3m in height and reach a spread of 1.5m. It is superficially similar to the more common Hebe diosmifolia but differs in not having small incisions around the margins of the leaves. Between December and February the shrub produces masses of white flowers from branched spikes.

This particular Hebe is very tolerant of shade and will thrive in most soils.
