Lightly branched shrub with large fragrant white flower heads.

This coastal to montane shrub grows up to 2m tall, usually in open sites in the bush, on forest margins as well as on or near rock outcrops. It spreads to a width of about 1m.

Pimelia longifolia is much-branched with its reddish twigs bearing pairs of green pointed leaves. During spring and summer (September - April), it develops hairy flowers which range in colour from white, flushed rose to completely pink and are fragrant. Fruits appear from November through to June.

Pimelia longifolia can grow in both sun and partial shade and can tolerate dry conditions.
