Robust tufted tussock forming sedge

This robust tufted, light yellow-green to green tussock forming sedge is endemic to the Kermadec Islands where it is usually found on shaded coastal forested slopes, amongst boulders or rubble.

The grass stands up to 450mm tall, it flowers from October through to January and is easily grown in a warm sheltered spot. It prefers semi shade and is very sensitive to cold.
