Very adaptable, fast growing plant found throughout New Zealand.

Pittosporum tenuifoilum is a large shrub also known as black matipo or kohuhu. The kohuhu has attractive grey green foliage with neat white margins. The shrub can reach a height of up to 6m and works well as a shelter, screening or hedging plant because of its erect growth shape. Small creamy white scented flowers appear in October through to November followed by fruiting in March which provides food for native birds. The black matipo is tolerant of wind, drought, frost and coastal conditions and is very frost hardy.

Very versatile plant and looks great mass planted or as hedging.
