A plant of rocky areas and cliffs from the coast to inland mountain of Marlborough. Spreading shrub 1m high. Attractive daisy flowers.

Pachystegia insignis is a compact low growing shrub is found on rocky hill sides and coastal situations in Marlborough which is explains its common name of the marlborough rock daisy.

Tolerant to droughts and dry conditions. Grows best from seed in a very dry and sunny place with free draining soil.

The shrub has dark green leathery and glossy leaves and solitary white flowers which resemble large daises. The rock daisy wont exceed a height of 1m and will grown in small clusters rather than sprawl.

Beautiful and unique looking plant, looks great as specimen and in rock gardens.
