My plant arrived yesterday in pristine condition!!!

The courier was so careful with it and walked up the driveway to personally give it to me.

It is such a healthy looking plant.

Thank you so much. I can't wait for it to grow and show off her beautiful flowers.

I used Tawapou's plants and in-house expertise (Christiane) to establish my Stage I rewilding project in June 2021; a 200 X 5 m roadside buffer following the removal of a dying shelter belt. The intention was to provide a) a road buffer for noise and privacy b) a native bird and bee friendly plants and c) a long term community asset.

8 Months Later: In spite of no watering and no weeding / releasing, the plants have thrived with very few failures reflecting quality and healthy plants ready to go.

I will be calling Christiane to carry out another on site visit to advise on Stage II planting. Highly recommended!

My family bought a beautiful block of land on the Tutukaka coast in 2019. It had a house and a drive and a gully full of native bush. There was no planting around the house. It was barren. We figured the best advice would come from locals and we found Tawapou Coastal Natives. A phone call and a visit to the nursery reinforced our decision and we met Christiane. She understood our needs, came to the site and listened. In short order, Christiane gave us a comprehensive planting plan, advice for soil preparation and how to get on with the job. We are delighted with the result. The native plants have established themselves and are slowly growing out to the effect we visualized. We heartily recommend Christiane and Tawapou Coastal Nursery.

I contacted Tawapou when my native garden was about 75% complete. I needed advice on filling in some gaps, planting to stabilise a clay bank and replace some unhappy trees.

Christiane came to the property and spent time walking around with me, offering advice and taking photos. She later sent me detailed photos of the garden and the areas that needed work. She had obviously listened closely to what I had said and the planting guides she offered were brilliant.

The ongoing support from Tawapou when I call in for more plants or simply for advice has also been excellent.

I think I'm really lucky to have these knowledgeable, helpful and friendly people in my neighbourhood.

Thank you Christiane and Tawapou

What a lovely 1st experience and visit. I had called earlier this week as I was looking for some plants to help keep an erroding embankment from slipping down from heavy rains. I spoke with Sandra, and she asked I email her some photos to get a better idea of the location and sun requirements, which I did.

She emailed me several options, and when I came in, she took the time to show me several more options, despite being very busy with many customers. I wish I had more time to wander the gardens/nursery! Driving in the long driveway, you feel like you are entering a secret garden with beautiful sculptures and pockets of beauty to entice you further in!

I am looking forward to working with Tawapou Coastal Natives as we develop our property, and I am so crazy grateful to have such a wonderful resource available here on our Coast.

Thank you to Lindley at Tawapou for the help and advice in planning and choosing plants for our next stage of garden development. Lindley was very friendly and patient, taking the time to set plants out so we could see the balance of colour and shape, changing some in and out until we got it right. Excellent professional service.
